Hello all. My name is Jaida Corvera and I like to think of myself as a jack-of-all-trades. Why did I come to the indieweb? Well, the internet in the past 20 or so years has been corporatized and centralized. As with everything, I believe this to be a bad thing, where we, the lower class of denizens on the net, have less and less control of how sites use our data and pushing an experience onto users that isn't necessarily personal, but rather corporatized. This is a reflection of the capitalist intent all over in our world. While we can't just take back the net by making our own websites, we can sure make at least a dent.
